ARTICLE 3, SECTION 4 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution

Time to refresh your consti knowledge (if you EVER have it). ;) Read carefully, don’t hurt yourself too much understanding this, a’ight? =D Let me know if you need help, I would gladly lend a hand.

"No law shall be passed abridging the freedom of speech, of expression, or of the press, or the right of the people to assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances."

Therefore, if no law is allowed to abridge, or to make it easier for you, CURTAIL… oh sorry, that’s even more painful for your brain, how about REDUCE? or SHORTEN, or PROHIBIT… use the dictionary if you still can’t understand. =P Anyway, as I was saying, there’s no way to prohibit someone from having the freedom to express his or herself. Blog is a medium where people could express themselves. There is no law against that now, is there? And you are not higher than any law to stop people from posting whatever they want to on their blogs, are you? Post on your blogs, I don’t really mind. I’ll post on my blogs, you mind, and guess what… I DON’T CARE. As I’ve said, LOVE IT, HATE IT. JUST BE SURE YOU REALLY USED YOUR BRAIN CELLS TO UNDERSTAND IT. ;)

xoxo

Nabasa ko lang po tungkol sa isang paghimay ng Article 3 Section 4 ng ating Constitution: "Freedom of speech is not an absolute right. Not all speech is
constitutionally protected. Speech that incites lawless conduct,
so-called fighting words (words that provoke physical retaliation),
libelous or defamatory speech, and OBSCENITY can legitimately be
prohibited or punished by the government.

I'm awed at these people who had commented on your post...

Why say all these negative things? I sense that some of these people are researching this "Article 3, Section 4" for whatever reason they have...

The way I see it is that... This is a BLOG. Not an answer site. This blogger clearly has/had someone bad mouthing him/her and she merely replied through this post with a reference from the Bill of Rights.

Some of you are insulted and insecure due to his/her English, on the way he/she used it... Give it a thought that maybe there's a reason why he/she made it seem that way. Perhaps someone was being haughty with their English or I don't know what reason.

And another thing! This post JUST stated the freedom of speech and stuff. Why suddenly give negative reactions?

Shame on all of you.

hello everybody :)
I didn't know there were comments on my post until now. And I was shocked.
First of all, I posted this years ago, I was still a sophomore in college I think? And it's been three years since I graduated. Needless to say, I was very young and immature. No matter, THIS IS A PERSONAL BLOG. I din't create this blog to inform or what not. This was how I vented--I blogged.
This post was intended for someone whom I was having a quarrel with online (I know, pathetic, but like what I said, I was young and immature) and she was telling (not asking, but telling) me to remove an essay (http://totteroots.blogspot.com/2007/12/from-corner-of-baguio-city.html)I had about my ex who was her boyfriend at that time. It was a harmless essay, you can read it if you want to, but I was pissed at the girl I was fighting with because she was the reason why my ex and I broke up. Anyway, she was all like "you have no right to post things like that" blah blah. So I posted this one about the freedom of speech. I wasn't boasting. I was just being sarcastic and really war freak at that time. LOL
But anyway, thanks for reading my blog :)

The freedom of the people and of press are widely implemented; freedom of speech – to give opinion on something to an statement or idea; freedom of expression – to show the feelings of someone to a particular event or happenings; also for the press to continuously give the information to the mass, to clarify an issues, and to bring forth on what is happenings around the globe but in an appropriate manner.

it is only my opinion(freedom of speech),i hope it can help you :)
